Obituary For Kenneth Dee Harding

Kenneth D Harding "Kenny", age 71, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Monday, September 11, 2023 at his home.

Kenny was born on August 8, 1952 to Homer "Ozzie" Harding and Shirley (Willis) Deem. Kenny worked for many years in maintenance and HVAC where he retired in 2016 from owning his own business of Harding Heating and Air.

Kenny had many passions in his life, the biggest being his family. He was the sweetest, kindest and most caring man. He was a devoted son, brother, dad and papaw and will be missed more than words can describe.

He loved photography, he was the man behind the camera for all family functions and events. He captured many wonderful moments for the family to cherish.

He was always tinkering with something and knew how to fix anything. If anyone had something they needed fixed they called Kenny.

Kenny loved the outdoors, sitting by fires, taking nature walks. He loved to travel, especially his trips to North Carolina to support his son during the Tarboro Vikings playoff runs.

With every passion in his life, he was self taught. He would spend countless hours researching and loved to share his knowledge with you.

He was preceded in life by his parents, Ozzie and Shirley and his son Kenneth "Adam" Harding.

He was survived by children, Michelle (Harding) McCormick, Joseph Harding (Lacey), Kristen (Mater) Helton all of Bloomington, Indiana and Andrew Harding of Tarboro, North Carolina. His grandchildren, Chad (Courtney), Bridgette (Craig), Misti, Josh, Ashley H, Ashley L, Austin, Joseph Jr., Hailey, Olivia, Louann, Chelsea, and Noah. As well as 12 great grandchildren. His siblings Ronnie Harding (Julie), Donnie Harding, Teresa Lehr (Dick), Jackie Harding and Phillip "Scott" Harding including many nieces and nephews. His step father William “Bill” Deem.

A Celebration of Life will be held Friday September 15, 2023 at Shelter #6 (The Commons) at Karst Farm Park in Bloomington from 11am to 2pm with a Memorial and Memory Sharing at 1pm.
