Gary Lee Stone (Stoney), 62, of Alexandria passed away on February 7, 2023 due to injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident. He was the son of Eugene and Margaret (Leonard) Stone. He was a graduate of Alexandria Monroe Highschool. He was a lifetime skilled mechanic who could fix anything.
He enjoyed all types of fishing, water skiing, tinkering with things, and music. He was a thrill seeker who had a love for fast cars and motorcycles. He loved spending time with his kids and grandkids passing on his knowledge about cars and life. Gary truly was an amazing selfless man who will be missed by all who knew him.
He is survived by the love of his life, Lisa Stone; his children Brittney (David) Peavler, Suzanne (Josh) Stone, Steven (Kacy) Stone; his grandchildren Dalton (fiancé Jenna) Stansberry, Mason Stansberry, Brayden Jacobs, Logan Flowers, Kailyn Flowers, Leyton (Macy) Peavler, Chase Peavler, McKenzy (fiancé Noe) Stone, Marcus Stone; great-grandchildren Grayson Stansberry, Warren Peavler, and a baby girl due in July; siblings, Paula Stone, Tim Stone, and Julie Stone Hullinger; as well as several nieces and nephews, cousins, many special friends, and his cat Cali.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a granddaughter Miley Stone.
Honoring Gary’s wishes, a cremation service will take place. There will be a celebration of life from 2-6 pm on March 19, 2023 at the Emery Lee Building in Beulah Park in Alexandria. ​
