Valentine Joseph Davis Jr., fondly known as Val, was born on November 30, 1946, in Canaan, Connecticut. He passed away on January 25, 2026, in Mooresville, Indiana with family by his side.
Val's journey through life was marked by a fulfilling career at Crossroads, where he dedicated 35 years of his life before retiring. In 1975, the winds of fate carried him to Indiana, where he became an integral part of the Reynolds family, sharing bonds of love and camaraderie that flourished until his final breath.
Val possessed a playful spirit, he loved to hide keys and remotes and watch you frantically search for the misplaced item. He would even lend assistance in the search until he was unable to contain his laughter which made everyone laugh and would then reveal the missing item. This was the essence of Val, a man whose laughter echoed the joy he found in simple pleasures.
Val adored camping and vintage cars. He would seize every opportunity to immerse himself in the great outdoors. At heart, he was a Boy Scout, collecting camping gear and Boy Scout books throughout his life, wishing he lived in a cabin in the woods. Val touched so many hearts just by being Val. If you knew him you were one of the lucky ones.
A Celebration of Life honoring Val will take place at the American Legion 350 East Main Street in Mooresville, Indiana, on February 21, 2026, beginning at noon. Friends and loved ones are invited to gather in remembrance of a life well-lived.
Valentine Joseph Davis Jr. will be sorely missed and fondly remembered.
