Rebecca "Becky" Kay Williams

Jun 23, 1962 — Jul 4, 2026

Greensburg

Rebecca “Becky” Kay Williams, born Sanders, 64, passed away on July 4, 2026.

Becky was born on June 23, 1962, in Fort Worth, Texas. She grew up on a ranch, where her lifelong love of horses and animals began, and later made her home in Greensburg, Kentucky.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Nina Weisburg and stepmother, Evelyn Sanders.

Becky is survived by her father, Don Sanders; her siblings, Dusty Sanders, Kimberly McLain, and Tuffy Sanders; her children, John Garcia and his wife, Carrie; Victoria Ernst; Garrett Gutierrez and his wife, Brandi; and Chelsea Williams-Phelps and her husband, Tyler. She is also survived by seven grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, and many other family members and friends who loved her deeply.

Becky was strong, brave, independent, and determined to live life on her own terms. Once she set her mind to something, there was rarely any changing it. She was protective of the people she loved, especially her children, and was never afraid to stand up for them.

Her love of animals was a defining part of who she was. Her pets were not just pets. They were family and constant companions, especially during the times when the people she loved could not be there. Horses held a particularly special place in her heart. Becky showed horses and was a multiple-time AQHA World Champion, an accomplishment that reflected both her talent and determination.

She had an entrepreneurial spirit, a deep sense of adventure, and a love for the outdoors. Over the course of her life, she traveled throughout the United States and called many different states home. She loved skiing, fishing, camping, four-wheeling, being near the water, and nearly anything that allowed her to be outside. For several years, she even went skydiving. She was bold, adventurous, and wasn’t afraid of anything.

Bringing people together and making ordinary occasions feel worth celebrating came naturally to Becky. Family holidays, cookouts, and special gatherings gave her the chance to laugh, visit, and enjoy the people around her. People were drawn to her happiness, and her happiness was infectious. She was social, spirited, and had a presence that was impossible to ignore.

Becky had an incredible green thumb and loved growing and tending to her many plants. She loved horses, dolphins, her family, and spending time with her beloved animals. She had a full life, a big personality, and was deeply loved by those fortunate enough to know her.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, July 16, 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hayes Brothers Funeral Home, 710 East Broadway, Campbellsville, Kentucky 42718. The memorial service will begin at 5:00 p.m.

Flowers are welcome, but Becky already left behind something better: an incredible collection of plants she loved and cared for. Family and friends are invited to take one of Becky’s beloved plants home in her memory, so that the things she nurtured can continue to grow.
