Nancy J Jones

Nancy J. Jones, age 76, passed away peacefully on September 24, 2026, at her nephew’s home. Nancy was born in June of 1950 in Terre Haute, Indiana, to John and Mary (Johnson) Ketner. She was a graduate of Wiley High School in Terre Haute. After graduation, she worked at Red Lobster.

In April of 1969, she married Thomas J. Jones. They moved to Moore Haven, Florida, in 1988, where they spent time fishing, helping their church, Maple Grove Baptist, and spending time with neighbors, friends, and Nancy’s parents, John and Mary, who lived across the street.

Nancy worked at Beck’s General Store for many years and then worked at Moore Haven Correctional Facility as a corrections officer.

Nancy’s husband, Tom, preceded her in death, along with her two sisters, Lynda Ketner and Barbra Booth (Ketner), her brother-in-law, Bob Booth, and her parents, John and Mary.

She is survived by her brother, Edward Ketner Sr., and his children, Eric Ketner (wife Britney), Christina Ketner, and Edward Ketner Jr. (wife Stacy), with whom she lived in Indiana during her last year. She is also survived by her niece, Tracy Stewart (husband Kurt).

Nancy spent her last days meeting new people, talking about Jesus, and listening to gospel music.

There will be no service or viewing per her wishes.
