Misce Kay Taylor

February 17, 1967 — September 5, 2025

After a courageous battle with cancer and a long illness with COPD, our beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, and sister is finally in peace. Though her health challenges in recent years were significant, they never defined her spirt or overshadowed the immense love she had for her children and grandchildren. Misce worked as a Compounder With Sysco formerly known as Gilchrist and Soames. She started in 2010 and left in 2019 when she began treatment for her stage 4 lung cancer. She displayed a remarkable work ethic throughout her career and left a lasting impression on all who worked alongside her.

Misce Kay Taylor was born February 17, 1967 in Greencastle Indiana to Linda Adams and James Rood. She was a devoted mother to her children. Her greatest joys in life was her family, especially her grandchildren. She taught us the values of kindness, generosity, and resilience. She leaves behind a legacy of strength and unwavering devotion that will be cherished forever.

Misce Taylor is survived by her children Michael Campbell, Justin Rood ( Tara Rood ), Chantele Campbell, and Brittney Campbell ( Joe Miller ). Her step children Dayton Taylor and Paigelyn Taylor. Her grandchildren, Dylan Rood, Lexaus Rood, Anthony Campbell, Ishai Campbell, Izaak Miller, and Aviana Campbell. Her mother Linda Adams, Her brother James Rood and Sister April Adams and her niece and nephews Austin Majko, Kayley Majko, Katie Rood, James Rood, and Victoria Majko. Who will miss her dearly. Misce Taylor was preceded in death by Her husband Douglas Taylor, Her Father James Rood, and her sister Candy Majko.
