Mary Kay passed away peacefully on December 23, 2025, at Redcrest Hospice House

Mary Kay was born on November 5, 1960, in Bloomington, Indiana, to Robert “Bob” and Alberta Arnett. She had a deep love for the outdoors and found joy in camping, fishing, bird watching, walking in the woods, and wading through creeks in search of unique rocks to add to her cherished collection.

Mary Kay was a wonderful, free-spirited woman who was loved by everyone she met.

Her warm heart, gentle nature, and adventurous spirit left a lasting impression on all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughters, Bobbie Murphy; Lydia Arnett; and Stephania (Arnett) Medows (Nate); her grandson, Cody Arnett, whom she lovingly raised; her brothers, David Arnett and Robert Arnett Jr.; ten grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews; and her beloved pit bull, Stephanie Michelle.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her sister, Cathy Arnett; and her brother, William “Billy” Arnett.

Mary Kay will be deeply missed and fondly remembered by all whose lives she touched.
