Lisa R Maxey

Lisa R. Maxey, age 58, of Greenwood, Indiana, passed away on October 17, 2026, leaving behind a family who will forever cherish her memory. 

Lisa was born on January 19, 1968, in Harvey, Illinois, to Dean and Lucille Gowens. She was preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Janet Snowdy. 

Lisa was a devoted wife to her husband, William Maxey, and a beloved mother to Samantha Maxey, Jessie Maxey, and Alexis Webb (Maxey). She was also a loving grandmother to her granddaughter, Lyra Webb, whose life she treasured dearly. 

She enjoyed reading James Patterson books and watching Hallmark movies, finding comfort and pleasure in the stories she loved. Above all, Lisa cherished time with her family, especially during the holidays. Family gatherings brought her joy through laughter, shared stories, familiar traditions, and the warmth of being together. 

To her family, Lisa was a source of encouragement, comfort, and strength—the heart of her family and someone they could always turn to. Her presence brought warmth and joy into their lives, and her absence will be deeply felt. 

Lisa’s legacy will live on through William; her children, Samantha, Jessie, and Alexis; and her granddaughter, Lyra. The lessons she taught, the kindness she shared, and the love she gave will remain in their hearts and continue through the memories they carry forward.
