Linda Kay Redman Lance of Indianapolis Indiana passed away on the 25th of March 2026 at the age of 79. She was born 16th May 1946 in Dayton Ohio to Ernest 'Herb' Redman and Grace 'Jerri' Roberts Redman. She spent most of her childhood in Terre Haute, Indiana and began a nursing degree at Indiana University in 1964. She left that course in 1966 to marry William E. Lance. The couple were married for 15 years and had three daughters.
Linda was an insurance agent for 46 years, working at a number of agencies across the Midwest. Her education was important, and she regularly engaged in both work-related and external learning opportunities. She graduated with a Liberal Arts degree in 2003 from the University of Indianapolis. Linda loved to read and had a passion for cooking and music, which she passed on to her daughters. A woman of deep faith, she was an active member of the Episcopal Church and over the years sang in the church choir, was a member of the vestry, coordinated church events and taught Sunday School. Linda enjoyed card games and met regularly with her ‘card buddies’ to play euchre.
Linda is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Lori and Gary Honer, her daughter and son-in-law Beth and Tony Hunley and her daughter Vicki Cloney. Linda’s grandchildren Kiegan Pierson and his partner Rachel Desmond, Xander Pierson and his partner Bailee Coe, Liam Pierson and his partner Te San, Mirin Cloney, Kieran Cloney and his wife Dominika Cloney, Declan Cloney and Norah Hunley. She is preceded in death by parents Herb and Jerri Redman and brother Jeffrey Redman.
A funeral service will be held on May 9, 2026, at 11:00 am, with visitation at 10:00 am at Trinity Episcopal Church 3243 North Meridian Indianapolis, IN 46208-2477. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Linda’s name to the Parkinson’s Foundation at The Parkinson's Foundation.
