Larry Harold Mandel, born on August 8, 1943, peacefully fell asleep in death on March 8, 2025, at the age of 81. He was the beloved son of Beatrice and Irving Mandel and is survived by his dear sister, Debra, and her husband, Steve. Larry was the second oldest of four siblings and is predeceased by his older sister, Elaine.
Larry dedicated his life to his faith, becoming one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on May 12, 1974. This commitment sparked a relentless quest for knowledge of the Bible and an unwavering love and devotion to his God, Jehovah. Throughout his life, Larry exemplified the virtues of love and kindness, dedicating most of his years to teaching others about Jehovah, Jesus, the significance of His ransom sacrifice, and the promised New World to come.
Known for his genuine compassion and warm heart, Larry had an innate ability to connect with others. He embraced everyone as a friend and created lasting bonds, leaving a profound impact on the lives he touched. Larry’s humor, joyfulness, and generosity will be deeply missed by his family and friends. His legacy of faith and love for others will continue to inspire those who knew him.
A memorial service to honor Larry’s life will be held at 2:00 pm at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 9019 Suter Rd, Plymouth, IN 46563.
