Larry Dale Humphries, 70, of Kokomo, Indiana died in Indianapolis, Indiana on 2-11-26 of Acute Hypoxic Respiratory Failure after a lengthy illness.
He was born in Tipton, Indiana to Doris and Beezer Humphries August 22nd, 1955. Larry spent his early youth watching his father race sprint cars and was inspired to devote his life to racing in every way possible. He worked for many drivers at race tracks across the country and overseas. Larry was well known as Flash in the racing world. He developed many close friendships with the drivers he worked for and the crew members he worked with. Last year was the first year he missed the 500 in over 40 years.
Larry was preceded in death by his mother and father, and is survived by his daughters, Angie (Jason) Fish of Bloomington and Savannah Humphries of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Dayton, Raven, Chlo'e, Maris, Riley, Mayah, Kiarah, and Wesley.
There will be no viewing or service. Larry will be cremated and ashes scattered at his favorite place, the Indianapolis Motor Speedway thanks to donations from his many friends. Donations through the "Cash for Flash" GoFundMe page, https://gofund.me/73d10f848, are greatly appreciated.
