Joseph Rex Nance

Joseph Rex Nance, 87, passed away on April 5, 2026. He was born on June 18, 1938, in Nortonville, Kentucky.

Joseph worked in Chicago at Sherwin-Williams for over 25 years.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Moritti; and his daughters, Tamara Lynn and Charlene Carter.

He is survived by his grandchildren, Tamara, Jonathan, Patricia, and Brian; and his great-grandchildren, Kenneth, Cameron, Jesse, Priscilla, Paislee, Juliet, Marshall, Oliver, Braxton, and Kennedy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews, all of whom he loved very much.

Joseph was a kind and gentle soul who made friends wherever he went and was always willing to lend a helping hand. He enjoyed old cars, baseball, and especially WWE wrestling, even though he would often say he knew it was “fake.” He will be remembered as one of the sweetest souls to those who knew and loved him.
