Jonathan Lee Lugo, born on June 9, 1984, in Brooklyn, New York, passed away on April 15, 2025, at the age of 40.
Jonathan spent his early childhood in Jamaica, Queens, New York, with his mother, Nilda Lugo, and sister, Joy Lugo, before the family moved to North Carolina when he was around nine years old. It was in North Carolina that Jonathan discovered his lifelong passion for fishing, a hobby that brought him great joy and peace throughout his life.
A devoted father, Jonathan is survived by his three loving children: Kaliyan Lugo (18), Lelayla Lugo (16), and Nathaniel Lugo (15). He is also survived by his mother, Nilda Lugo, his sister, Joy Lugo, and his younger brother, Joseph Lugo, as well as his nephew, Pete Rodriquez.
Later in life, Jonathan's love for fishing led him to the state of Indiana. He embraced the new landscapes and opportunities for his favorite pastime.
At the time of his passing, Jonathan was briefly married to his surviving wife, Melissa Bastin.
Jonathan will be remembered for his love of the outdoors, especially fishing, and for the deep love he had for his children.
