Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Richard P. Lannan and Dolores E. Lannan; the love of her life, William “Eddie” Harp Jr.; her brother Geoffrey Holmes; and her sisters Kathleen “Kathy” Lannan Taylor and Deborah “Debbe” Holmes Wakeland.
She is lovingly remembered by her children, Jeremy Lannan and Stephanie Butner (Scott); her grandchildren, Brooklyn Vozzo (Chris), Sienna Vozzo, Cambrian Nallett, Dominic Miller, and Jude Hamilton; and her great-grandson Christopher Summers III. Jo Ann is also survived by her sisters Mary Lannan (Kelly) and Melissa Ruiz (Mando), her brother Richard Lannan, and many cherished nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
Jo Ann was a bright light to everyone she met. With a free spirit and a hippie soul, she was truly “Portland Proud” and often expressed her love through music and dancing, ranging from Barry Manilow to Journey to Heart to Bon Jovi to Michael Jackson to Fleetwood Mac, and the list goes on and on. She was a doting grandmother and a loving figure to many, known affectionately as “Momma Jo” to friends who considered her a mother figure and best friend.
A Celebration of Life will be held on February 28th, 2026 from 4-8, at The American Legion located on 2800 W Main St. in Louisville, KY, 40212. All who knew Jo Ann are invited to join the family in honoring her beautiful spirit and the love and light that she shared with so many. The family is requesting that everyone wear something tie-dyed to the Celebration of Life in honor of Jo Ann.
