James Keith Bragg Ii

James Keith Bragg, II was a Chicago native, but longtime resident of Louisville, KY. He unexpectedly passed away on January 19, 2021 at the age of 38.
James is survived by his son, James Keith Bragg, III of Louisville, KY; his mother, Cynthia Chatman; his sister, Joy Couch and his nephew Aiden Kirksey all of Saint Petersburg, FL; seven aunts Viola Henderson of Denver, CO; Helen Henderson, Gina Davis, Ethel Williamson, Ruby Williamson, Patricia Williamson and Rhonda Williams, all of Chicago, IL; two uncles Randall Williamson of Chicago, IL and Anthony Williamson of Honolulu, HI; and a host of other relatives and friends. James was preceded in death by his father James Bragg, I.
James was born in Chicago, IL at Michael Reese Hospital on February 20, 1982 to Cynthia Williamson and James Bragg, I. He attended Holy Angels Catholic School and De La Salle High School. De La Salle is where James learned to be a part of a brotherhood. After graduating from high school in May 2000, he went on to attend the University of Louisville in Kentucky. It is in Kentucky where he decided to plant his feet, start his journey as an adult and flourish into manhood. On March 10, 2008, God blessed James with the best gift he could ever receive. This is the day his son and namesake James Keith Bragg, III was born. Everyone that knew James, knew how much he loved and adored his son Tres. He beamed pride whenever he spoke of him. He loved his son with every fiber of his being. James loved football growing up. He played on football teams in both Elementary School and High School. His love of football was lifelong. It never went away. He was a huge Chicago Bears fan. Win, lose or draw, he was a fan for life. James was a dedicated worker. He began working as a Can Loader at UPS in 2002. He transitioned into other positions while with the company. His final position at UPS was Outbound Shift Driver. He had been with the company for almost 19 years and remained employed with them until his untimely death. James was a devoted father. A loving son. An exceptional brother. An exemplary uncle and a wonderful friend to many. He was a man of few words, but his character spoke volumes and his smile could light up a room. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and all who knew and loved him.
