James Johnson Jr.

James Johnson Jr, 67, of Bloomington, died on July 13, at Bloomington Hospital in Bloomington. 

Born August 4, 1957, in Fairbanks, Alaska, he was the son of Jim Johnson Senior and Mary Hart Johnson, and brother to Lester Johnson. He married Shanna Phillips, on April 28, 2024. Father of Leigh Dillard, her husband Dustin , and grandfather of their four children Verna, Eliza, Samson, and Annleigh. Stepfather of Josiah Fisher, his wife Sunshine, and step-grandfather of their three children Kiley, Noah, and Jonah. As well as, stepfather of Sarah Gunn, her husband Chris, and step-grandfather of their three children Madison, Rhilyn, and Lance. Step-great grandfather of Asher Foley.

He retired from the U.S. Post Office. He enjoyed spending time with his family, dogs, and riding his Harley. He was in the Navy.

There will be a Celebration of Life for immediate family.
