Edward Charles Shurkey

Edward Charles Shurkey, 91, of Bloomington, Indiana, passed away on June 22, 2026.

Born on December 24, 1935, in Saint Claire County, Michigan, Edward was the son of Charles Shurkey and Irene (Wolfe) Shelly.

Jeffrey worked as a painter in the construction industry throughout his career. A high school graduate, he proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces.

He is survived by his daughter, Susan Coates, among other family members and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and his spouse, Judyth (Massacer) Shurkey. Edward will be remembered by those who knew him, and his memory will be cherished by his family and friends.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Halo Cremations.
