Ednelle "Vonnie" Lawson

Edenelle "Vonnie" Wright Swaner Lawson, 73, of Falls of Rough, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on July 4, 2026.

Born on November 23, 1952, in Louisville, Kentucky, Vonnie was known for her caring heart, kind spirit, and the love she freely gave to those around her. She worked as a housekeeper for Homeland Residential, where she took pride in her work and the relationships she built throughout the years.

Vonnie was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond D. Swaner, as well as four of her siblings.

She is lovingly remembered by her children, Melissa Ann Schweri and George Edward Swaner and his wife, Brandy Swaner. She is also survived by her siblings, Mildred Fox, Charles Ballard, Joey Fenwick, Donald Osborne (Brenda), Ronald Osborne (Theresa), and Timothy Wright.

To know Vonnie was to love her. She had a way of making those around her feel welcome and cared for, and her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.

In addition to her immediate family, Vonnie leaves behind many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will cherish her memory and carry her love with them always.
