Donald R. VanDeman

In Loving Memory of Donald R. VanDeman Sr, Age 87 yrs. He was born November 9, 1938, to Clifford and Mary VanDeman (Creasey). Sadly, he passed away July 15, 2026. He was preceded in death by his wife Linda VanDeman, who he loved dearly. Don spent his life as a truck driver and retired from ABF Freight Systems. He was a wonderful father of 3 sons, Bruce J. VanDeman, Brian K. VanDeman & wife Sherri, Donald R. Vandeman Jr & Paula Buis, and his stepson Charles E. Wall and wife Suzanne. Don was an avid bird watcher and a member of the Audubon Society. He loved teaching anyone he could about conservation, nature, birds and animals and volunteered at Eagle Creek Nature Center as well. He also had a passion for photography, especially anything related to the outdoors or nature. 

He loved spending time teaching his grandchildren about nature and everything outdoors. Don had four grandchildren Brittni Dawn Elliiott (VanDeman) spouse Zachery and Zacary Tyler VanDeman and spouse Shelby; as well as Amanda Jayne Jennings (VanDeman) spouse Josh and Kyle Ross VanDeman. He also had six great grandchildren; Jude Tristan and Layla June Elliott, Alexander Chase and Addelynn Rose VanDeman, and Mallory Jane and Jackson Michael Jennings. Don will be missed dearly by his family and friends, but we are all at peace knowing he is in a better place, and he and his wife are back together again.
