Dennis Patrick Colleran

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Dennis Patrick Colleran, who went home to our Savior on June 22, 2026. Dennis was born on June 22, 1962 in San Diego, California. Dennis graduated from Loogootee High School and enlisted in the Army. Following his service in the Army, he worked at General Electric in Bloomington for several years. He also had his own home inspection business. He married Peggy Sue Colleran (Honeycutt) in 1986, and they shared two daughters, Hollie Marie Colleran (Griffin) and Lenell Dawn Colleran. Dennis was the very proud grandpa to Gibson Conrad McDowell, Zane Alexander McDowell, Jonah Axel McDowell and his grandpup Bjorn. Surviving family includes his two daughters Hollie Marie Colleran, (Griffin) Lenell Dawn Colleran, (Spenser Pemberton), sister Karen Marie Colleran, (Slaven) sister in law Jeannie Colleran, and his childhood best friend, Jim Welton. Dennis was proceeded in death by his parents Daniel and Twylla Colleran, brother Terry Colleran, and grandson Jericho. Dennis was an exceptional guitar player and founded the band The Fugitives. Dennis loved paranormal investigating and spending holidays with his family. Dennis was one of a kind with a great sense of humor and will be missed by many.
A funeral mass will be held at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church in Bloomington, Indiana on Friday, July 17 at 11am. Interment will follow at Valhalla Memory Gardens.
