David Lyndon Shaw, 64, of Plainfield, IN, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at his residence. A native and graduate of Monrovia, IN, born on September 15, 1962, to the late William Shaw and Judith Shaw. David was known by many for his exceptional reliability, retiring as a Journeyman Lineman from Indianapolis Power & Light (now AES) after nearly three decades without missing a beat. After retirement, he continued that work ethic by working for DHL Supply Chain until the day before he passed. Those who knew him well in his early years will remember an active, hands-on man who could build or fix anything and loved the open road on his Harley.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his brothers, William Shaw, Jr. and Brian Shaw. David is survived by his mother, Judith Shaw, his sister, Lisa Lunt, his daughters, Summer Fairfield and Tera Pease, and his grandson, Landon Fairfield. The family does not wish to have a service at this time. Cremation has taken place, and a memorial gathering will follow at a later date.
