Connie Sue Taylor

Connie Sue Taylor, age 79, of Columbus, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026.

Connie was born on April 29, 1947, in Brazil, Indiana, to William and Susan Hill. She graduated from the Columbus Regional Hospital nursing program in the early 1970’s.

In 1980, Connie moved to Porter, Indiana, where she worked as a custodian for the Porter County School Corporation for over 20 years. After returning to Columbus in 2002, she continued to enjoy connecting with people while working as a door greeter at Sam’s Club for many years.

Connie had a deep appreciation for the simple joys of life. She loved photography, collecting rocks and books, loved nature and going out to eat. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family and her strong faith in God. Connie attended Sandy Hook United Methodist Church, though in recent years she was unable to attend due to illness.

She is survived by her sister, Laura (Ron) Taylor; her brother, Butch (Susie) Hill; her niece, Jennifer (Tony) Rutan; her nephews, Tommy Hill Jr., Joshua Hill, and Patrick Hill; and several great-nieces and great-nephews. She especially adored her great-nephew, Parker Rutan. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brother, John Thomas Hill.

At this time, no memorial service is planned.

Connie will be remembered for the love she had for her family and friends, her kind spirit, and her unwavering faith.
