Charlene "Charly" Fowler

Charlene “Charly” Fowler, born April 2, 1945, in Des Moines, Iowa, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2025.

Charly grew up in North Platte, Nebraska, but her true home was Colorado, where she lived for 50 years with her husband Parker Fowler. The mountains, her quilt friends and her family, especially her mother, Lillyanna, filled her life with joy and creativity. She spent the last 14 years back “East” in Ohio and Indiana to be close to her brother and his family

Charly was known for her wonderful smile, warm presence and an amazing gift of greeting everyone by name. A truly creative spirit who loved color, design, and craft, she made beautiful cards and stunning hand-stitched quilts and shared her gifts by teaching others to make cards, appliqué, and quilts.

More than anything, Charly will be remembered for her kindness and generosity of spirit. She cared deeply for her family, friends, and neighbors and she will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
