In Loving Memory of Bernie Nimeskern

Bernie Nimeskern was born on February 1, 1953, in Loveland, Ohio, to Bernard Nimeskern and Anna Mae Nimeskern. He leaves behind a large and deeply loved family, including Joe Nimeskern, Thomas Nimeskern, Patrick Nimeekern, Merrily Nimeskern, Melinda Nimeskern, Teresa Jacques, Michelle Nimeskern, and Cheryl Nimeskern. He is also survived by his children: Carmen Bryant, Mike Nimeskern, Steve Nimeskern, BJ Nimeskern, Evon Miller, and David Nimeskern, as well as his twelve grandchildren who brought him endless joy.

Bernie lived his life with a big heart and a spirit full of humor. He was known for his jokes, his warmth, and the way he made people feel welcome. His life changed in a profound way when he found his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. From that moment on, he dedicated himself to living with purpose, faith, and compassion.

He loved his children and his family deeply, and he never missed an opportunity to remind them how much they meant to him. Bernie cherished every moment he could spend with them.

His faith became one of the greatest passions of his life. He loved attending church, spending time with his pastor, and sharing the gospel with others. Bernie was devoted to spreading God’s love—passing out tracts, sharing Bibles, and hoping to reach even one lost soul. One of his cherished memories was traveling to Atlanta with his pastor to hand out Bibles, driven by the hope that someone’s life might be changed.

On January 17, 2026, Bernie passed away peacefully. In his final moments, he was surrounded by the people he loved most. His family gathered at his side, singing Amazing Grace as he went home to the Lord. It was a passing filled with love, faith, and the same gentle spirit he carried throughout his life.

Bernie lived with a servant’s heart, a joyful laugh, and a deep love for God and family. His presence brought light, and his memory will continue to shine in the lives of all who knew him.
