Stanley Lee Frecker

April 22, 1943 — February 26, 2024

Stanley Lee Frecker, 80 of Fort Wayne, IN passed away peacefully surrounded by family on February

26, 2024. He was born April 22, 1943 in Fort Wayne, IN to the late Joseph and Marie (Weller) Frecker,

the youngest of their 10 children.

Stanley served in the Army and was most proud of his Army Marksmanship Qualification Badge

Sharpshooter designation. He traveled to many countries during his years of service. Stanley enjoyed

a career as a talented optician and owned his own business, Stan’s Optical on Wells Street in

downtown Fort Wayne for many years. He was an avid nature lover, born on Earth Day, this became a

special time of year for him and his family. Stanley loved to travel and recently enjoyed a special trip to

Kauai Hawaii with his five children.

Stanley is survived by his ex-wife Beverly to whom he remained very close. Five children; Sarah

(Lawerence II) Norman, Andrew (Anna) Frecker, Laura (Todd) Boicey, Matthew (Danielle) Frecker and

Mark (Adriana) Frecker; brothers Larry Frecker, Carl (Sandy) Frecker, sister Rosemarie (Jim) Duffek;

Twelve grandchildren: Makayla, Ethan, Emma, Isabel, Ella, Morghan, Caroline, Madysen, Jasmine,

Lily, Jace and Liam. Three step grandchildren: Teagan, Jayden and Lawerence III.

He was preceded in death by sister Phyllis Ann Kuhn; brothers: Delbert Frecker, Donald Frecker,

Richard Frecker, Eugene Frecker and Harold Frecker.

Stanley did not wish to have a service. His family asks those wishing to honor him consider planting a

“Tree in Honor of Others” through the Arbor Day Foundation at www.arborday.org.
