Leonard James Dumas

Leonard Dumas 67, of Gary, IN passed away Dec 15, 2021 at St. Mary Hospital in Hobert, IN. Leonard was born July 26, 1954, in Gary, IN, to the parents of WC Dumas and Eula Mae (Williams) Dumas. He was the youngest son to this union.
Leonard attended Froebel High School and later went on to pursue work at the US Steel, as a steel worker. Leonard was ambitions and sought out means to provide for himself as well as his family. He was a master of many different trade skills. Leonard had a personality that would light up a room.
Leonard's greatest accomplishments were his children, James Thomas Dumas, MaLinda Jean (Rodney) Jones, Lenora Marie Dumas, Leonard James Dumas Jr. (Bonus son) Master Todd. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by sister; Ethel Vaughn (Dumas), brother Kenneth (Anita) Dumas, Jimmie Dumas, and Lutrell (Charline) Dumas. Leonard leaves his precious memories to sisters: Bertha Dumas, Carrie Dumas, Mellowneas Dumas, Cosetta Dumas, and brother WC (Terry) Dumas Jr. Leaves to Carry his legacy 10 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and will be dearly remembered as Uncle Leonard (Unc) by a host of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service for Leonard James Dumas will be announced at a later date and will be open to family and friends.
