John Leighton Shipley

John Leighton Shipley, 80, of Nashville, IN, passed away on September 23, 2021 after a long battle with COPD.
John was born on January 11, 1941, to John and Elizabeth Shipley in Gary, IN. After he graduated high school and earned an associates degree, he worked in Australia for a few years before relocating to San Francisco, and then Seattle, where he worked as an engineer for Boeing. Many years later, he moved back to Indiana to be close to his parents.
In his younger years, he enjoyed fly fishing, hiking, and traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings, Karen and Rodney. He is survived by his two children, Jay and Kim Shipley, and his four grandchildren, Lain, Elliot, Diego, and Cruz.
