Joana Louise Moody

July 1, 1957 — September 26, 2021

Moody, Joana Louise (JoJo) July 1, 1957 - September 26, 2021
It is with great sadness to share that JoJo lost her 3 month battle to complications associated with pancreatitis. Her unwavering faith in God, personal strength and attitude of gratitude sustained her for all those months, but her body was not able to continue. Her smile, sense of humor and big heart will be missed by all those who ever came in contact with her. Jojo passed away peacefully early Sunday morning, September 26th, 2021 with family by her side. She was 64.
Joana was born to Joseph and Diana (Hoffmann) Yakey on July 1, 1957. She later was adopted by David Sentir in a second marriage. Ron Hedlund was her Stepfather in the later years.
Joana, like her Mother, Diana, was a very talented pianist. JoJo learned structured music throughout most of her young years summers at the Interlochen Arts Academy in Michigan which is one of the most prestigious boarding fine arts high schools in the country.
She went to Grassy Creek Elementary and Creston Jr High School then graduated from Warren Central High School; all in Indianapolis. She earned an associate's degree from IUPUI, then worked for McCready and Keene upon graduation.
But, Jojo was a decorator at heart. She received a certification in interior design at IUPUI and later worked for Bullock Furniture, Gerdt Furniture, Lazy Boy, Weekends Only, and, most recently, Center Stage Design. She loved decorating homes for people. Her own home is full of beauty and warmth, just like her.
She is survived by her adoring husband and love of her life, Steven Bullock; Stepfather Ronald Hedlund; Aunt Caroline (Yakey) Bose, Uncle Michael Hoffmann (Leanne); Uncle Milton Yakey (Janie); Aunt Judy (Yakey) Rose; as well as many close cousins.
JoJo was preceded to heaven by her mother Diana Hedlund; her father Joseph Yakey; and adopted father David Sentir, Uncle Gordon Hoffman, and grandmother Henrietta West.
Family and friends can join us for a celebration of Jojo's life and share memories on November 6th, 2021 from 4pm - 8pm at the White River Yacht Club, 1400 E 74th St, Indianapolis, IN 46240
