James Hillenburg

James Michael "Mikie" Hillenburg, born May 11, 1981, in Bloomington, Indiana, went to be with the Lord on December 17, 2020. He is survived by his son, Gavin James Hillenburg of Morgantown; mother, Patti Hardwick Ooten (Kevin) of Cincinnati, Ohio; father, Michael Hillenburg (Juli) of Bloomington; and his partner and love of his life, Bethany Grubb of Ellettsville. He is also survived by his sister, Julia Deaton (Lance) of Bedford; brother, Jon "Mitch" Hillenburg (Amanda) of Bloomington; nephews Chandler and Maverick Hillenburg; and niece Layla Hillenburg; as well as aunts Susie Hillenburg (Donald), Brenda Hardwick Stogsdill (Richard), Beth Hardwick Jolly (James Baker); and uncle John Hillenburg (Holli); and several cousins. He was preceded in death by Grandparents Cleotis "King" and Patricia Hillenburg, James and Sara Hardwick and Jerry and Bonnie George.
