Dorothy E Culver

Dorothy E Culver, age 75, was a caring mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She Graduated to heaven on 6/25/2023 after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. She was surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Dorothy was born to Andrew and Anna Kobilan of Austria-Hungry and Minnesota. They moved to Calhan, CO. where Dorothy was born and raised. She graduated from Calhan High School and attended Assalam Radio Inc. achieving her 1st class radio license. Dorothy worked for KBZZ Radio in La Junta, CO, Litton Industries, Clifton Precision, Current Inc, and Farmers Insurance Group, from which she retired in June 2012.
Dorothy married Robert E. Culver on 11/12/72 (11/05/48-9/1/15). She was blessed with two children, Marcus and Carlene (Thornsley). Marcus and Jessica Culver (Dickens) have 1 son, Andrew Culver (Apprentice Electrician), (1 grandbaby preceded in death by miscarriage), Carlene (Culver) and Mike Thornsley (Pastor at True Light Baptist Church, IN) have 13 children, Michael III (Army), Joseph-Paul (Carpenter), Nathaniel (Tire Technician), Pearl, Abigail, Unity, John, Samantha, Joshua and Jane, Liberty, Danielle, and Stephen. (5 grandbabies preceded in death by miscarriage).
Dorothy fought a hard battle with cervical cancer (‘04) that advanced to bone cancer (‘19). "The cancer may have won over my body, but JESUS won over my soul." Dorothy loved serving GOD and loved her family. She loved soul-winning, teaching Sunday school, sewing, crocheting, reading, and listening to her grandbabies read to her.
Dorothy was preceded in death by Andrew and Anna Kobilan, Bennie Kobilan, and Larry Morehead.
