Colt Matthew Barnes

Colt Matthew Barnes, born January 1st 1982. Parents Barbara Britt and Buck Barnes, sisters Bobbie Howard and Ally Lancaster. Colts children Layne, Amelya and Landyn, Lilly Chapman and Sahara Sanchez, along with his wife Rose Barnes will all miss Colt’s amazing presence for the rest of our lives. Colt was an amazing husband, father and son, as well as the best friend anyone could ask for. He was honest, loyal, trustworthy, hard working, and kind. Colt would do anything, for anyone at the drop of a hat, for just a hand shake, or maybe a case of beer! Colt has never met a stranger and very rarely raised his voice in anger. Anyone who has ever met Colt, I believe will never forget him. Colt was 42 years old, an avid fisherman and hunter, he loved the outdoors, doing yard work, hunting mushrooms, shed hunting, kayaking, gardening or having some friends over for a big bonfire. Colt was taken away from us all so very early, he had so many wonderful years left to live, love & make new friends. He will be missed so much by all of his cousins, aunts, uncles, nephews and friends, including those people who barely got to know Colt, but he had already touched their hearts. Colt passed away Sunday April 2, 2024 in morning after a very short battle with cancer. Please remember to hold the ones you love as much as you can and take the time to spend with people you hold dear, time is to short & tomorrow is never promised.
